This is one of my all time fav bars in NYC.
Completely deceitful from the outside, when you enter you'll see a guy in black standing next to any old door. No one else is there. If you flutter your eyelashes enough he'll let you go downstairs and you'll walk through the stainless steel kitchen with slip proof tiles, out through another door, eventually finding yourself in a dark, bare-brick room. Kind of like a huge old deserted-then-converted wine cellar. The drinks and food are to die for. And when I went there, for dinner we sat next to Natalie Portman no less!
